A comprehensive, creative visual marketing company needs an online presence to match.
When Arsenal New York came to us requesting a new website, we knew that our work would have to reflect the same high caliber of their work.
The site would have to feel multi-dimensional and dynamic. It had to be enticing. Engaging. State of the art. A middling, garden-variety WordPress template just wouldn’t do.
With Arsenal taking the reigns on design and KTSTERLING’s strategy consulting taking form in the shape of user experience and technical development, we determined the best way to illustrate and illuminate Arsenal’s multi-faceted range of services: everything from custom retail fixtures to three-dimensional displays, digital signage to premium print campaigns, flash mobs to pop-up activations and much, much more.
Arsenal’s initial design was gorgeous, yet non-responsive. This was a major red flag, especially since Google had just dropped their announcement that fixed-width sites would soon be penalized, making many of Arsenal’s inspiration sites technically obsolete.
We had to prove to Arsenal that they really could have it all: a site with a stunning design, a seamless user experience, and up-to-speed SEO.
We leveraged our expertise to show them how the design could be modified to be responsive without sacrificing its luxe feel and sleek aesthetic.
Working in sync with their designer, we brainstormed a beautiful, responsive layout that would allow Arsenal to represent the scale and scope of their work. We hunkered down to create a custom WordPress theme from scratch, ensuring proper display on laptops, on mobile, and most importantly, on the large monitors frequently used by people in their industry.
Since Arsenal needed to tell their story in addition to showing it, we included a content plan, directing and curating visuals to portray their products in the best light and providing them with guidelines as to how assets would need to be collected in the future to keep the website looking top-notch.
We hit the deadline and went live with a website that highlighted Arsenal’s success with huge projects like full-size building wraps and national roll-outs, major brands, and high-end clients like J. Crew, Roberto Coin, David Yurman, Polaroid, and many others.
The end product was far beyond competitor sites, and even worked for them as a marketing initiative, since they were able to call up clients with news of a spiffy, de novo website that also served as a dynamic digital portfolio. From the high-resolution hero imagery to strategically integrated content call-outs, the website continues to paint a charismatic, compelling portrait of Arsenal New York.
